Since the day it was established, Dalgakıran has been manufacturing only its own designs and this is one of the company's fundamental principles. The idea of designing its own products also led to the establishment of an R&D department that provides solutions to needs and keeps products up-to-date by utilizing latest technological improvements. The department undertakes the engineering, implementation and documentation stages of production.
With a staff of 20 experienced engineers, Dalgakıran R&D team has been carrying out its activities on not only contemporary but also future technologies.
The tests and analyses of the products that have been developed by the R&D team are also carried out by the R&D department of Dalgakıran with high-tech product programs.
First, products are created three dimensionally in computer environment. The data received after computer analyses show the performance and efficiency of new products. The product prototypes that are assembled in R&D facilities are tested for performance and acoustics.
The R&D Department that has completed 40 projects, carried out 3 projects in collaboration with TÜBİTAK (one completed) and developed 15 new products shows the high-technology consciousness of Dalgakıran. The projects carried out in collaboration with TÜBİTAK also earned Dalgakıran a scientific perspective of production and improved the R&D culture of the company.
The Product Development department reporting to the R&D department deals with product renovation and carries out performance and efficiency improvement activities.
The R&D and Product Development departments working in collaboration with each other have the required equipment and capacity to create special designs according to working conditions of industrial enterprises as well as their needs and capacity.

Dalgakıran sweeps into strengthening its competitive position and becoming one of world’s five leading compressor manufacturers by allocating 2 percent of its financial turnover to R&D activities.
